A public awareness talk on organ donation was organized for the staff of EZ Vidya, Chennai on 14th August, 2013. EZ Vidya is an education research and innovation organization that aims at delivering holistic education in Indian schools.
The session was conducted by Ms. Kavitha S, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai. An introductory talk was given about the activities of the Foundation. The talk concentrated on how one can give the gift of life to their fellow human beings through organ donation. Further; she also explained to them about the importance of donating organs, who can donate organs, how can organs be donated and when the organs can be donated.
A total of 30 participants actively participated in the session. The group raised questions related to the process of organ donation. At the end, all the staff members of EZ Vidya signed the donor registry and collected the donor card.
