On the 29th of May, 2023, an online talk was held by MOHAN Foundation to raise awareness about deceased donor organ donation. A program was organized to commemorate the birthday of the founder of KRSNAA DIAGNOSTIC. Ms. Pallavi Jain, Manager Learning and Development delivered a welcome speech to commence the program.
Mrs. Kavitha Aneesh, the Marketing Coordinator of the MOHAN Foundation, delivered a comprehensive talk on organ donation, covering various topics such as the role of the foundation in organ donation, the THO Act of 1994, the significance of deceased organ donation, different types of donations, distinctions between coma, cardiac death, and brain death, the importance of carrying a donor card, the Transplant Registry, the activities undertaken by the MOHAN Foundation, and the availability of a toll-free number.
During the gathering, Ms. Maduri, an employee, shared her personal experience of donating her father's eyes, inspiring the entire family to pledge for organ donation. This heartfelt story served as a great source of motivation for the entire group.
The session was highly interactive, with participants raising numerous queries regarding brain death and organ donation in cases of unnatural deaths. At the conclusion of the session, all the audience pledged to donate their organs and vowed to carry their donor cards.
