Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 21 November 2017.This was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.
Mr.Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation .In his talk he explained for following points:-
v What is Organ Donation and the Law
v Who can donate organs & types of organ donation
v Brain Death Natural Death and Coma
v Myths related to Organ donation
v Deceased donation cases in Nagpur
v Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur
v Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website
It was a very interactive session. 65 drivers were present at the talk. 4 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.
