Mr. Sachin Lonkar- a candidate of Aam Adami Party, on his birthday invited Mr. Bulu to conduct a session on organ donation for the visitors and party members. This programme was held on 18th July 2022.
An information desk was manned outside the hall with MOHAN Foundation’s standees and banners.
Mr. Bulu began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation and its objectives. He addressed the audience by asking a few questions on organ donation, elucidated the need and importance of organ donation in India, and engaged the audience with a presentation.
The following topics were highlighted and discussed in detail:
Questions asked by the visitors were as follows:
1) What is the process to declare a patient as brain dead?
2) How to approach the family members for organ donation?
3) How many MOHAN Foundation centres are there in Nagpur?
4) How pancreas transplant is done?
The visitors and party members were motivated by the session and 10 of them pledged their organs. Close to 60 people attended the session.
