On 18 th October 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness talk
on Organ Donation for Senior citizens of Old Age Home at Matoshri Vriddh
Ashram, Aurangabad. The session was organized with help of Mr. Anil
Luniya who is the In-charge person of old age home.
Ms. Prarthana started her presentation by introducing herself and MOHAN
Foundation.
Thereafter, she discussed the below topics on organ donation:
1. What is organ donation?
2. Who can donate?
3. Types of donors
4. Types of death
5. Myths and facts about organ donation
6. Donor card and its importance.
Questions asked by the audience were as follows:
Complication in bone donation?
How to register as an organ donor?
Difference between body donation and organ donation?
Can Diabetic person donate eyes after death and how?
Ms. Prarthana answered all the queries promptly. Close to 66 members
pledged their organs. 138 participants attended the session. We thank Mr.
Anil Luniya for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
