On 11thNovember 2023, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Hon. Ishanand Swami ji to conduct awareness programme on organ donation at Bharat Sevashram Sangha,Vashi. Home for cancer patients and their relatives on the occasion of Diwali programme. In first awareness talk about 26 participants attended the session.
Ms.Prarthana introduced herself and started her presentation by introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities.
She then touched upon the below topics about organ donation:
1. Concept of organ donation.
2. Types of death- Circulatory death and Brain death
3. Tissue donation and its process
4. Procedure of bone donation.
5. Donor Card and its importance.
6. Details of organ donation Helpline No.18001037100 was shared with the participants.
Questions asked by the participants:
The session inspired and motivated 24 participants to pledge their organs. The participants and organizers appreciated Ms. Prarthana for her noble work on organ donation.
