Orange City Hospital & Research Centre, Transplant co-ordinator Mrs. Manjari Damle and Nagpur Mahila Club Members invited MOHAN Foundation to give a talk on deceased organ donation. The talk was organised at the Orange City Hospital Seminar hall, on 28th September 2013, to sensitize Mahila Club Members & the staff of Orange City Hospital. About 50 people attended the session.
Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director Nagpur Centre of MOHAN Foundation gave a presentation about Organ Donation & Transplantation. He said that a brain death person can never come back to life. It is possible for the relatives of the brain death patient to consent to donate the organs of their loved one. The points covered by Dr. Wankhede were:
