On October 26, 2024, a significant milestone in promoting organ donation was achieved when the executive members of Jestha Nagrik Pratishthan, including the Honorable Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, pledged to donate their organs. The occasion, which was attended by approximately 80 members of the organization, marked the release of their annual magazine and provided a platform for raising awareness about the life-saving impact of organ donation. During the event, 20 individuals took the pledge to donate their organs, further strengthening the commitment to this noble cause.
She highlighted the progress made in raising awareness and encouraging donations, as well as the growing support from both the medical community and the public. The gathering served as a powerful reminder of the importance of organ donation, with community leaders like Nitin Gadkari leading by example. This event not only underscored the significance of organ donation but also exemplified the collective responsibility of citizens and leaders in contributing to this life-saving cause.
