Organ Donation Information desk at Saraswati Nagar’s Laughing club

  • On May 11, 2024, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Laughing club group member Mrs. Kalpana Sonule at Saraswati Nagar, Manewada Road, Nagpur.Mr. Bulu Behera managed the information desk. He gave the information regarding Pledge forms, Donor card. He also gave the information regarding Organ donation helpline number.


    Mr. Behera gave the following information to visitors.

     What is organ donation? Who can donate an organ

     What is brain death and natural death?

     After brain death, which organs and tissues can be donated?

     After natural death, which tissues can be donated, and the necessary conditions?

     What is the difference between coma and brain death?

     Is organ donation possible if the patient is in a coma?

     What is the criteria for living donation?

     Information regarding body donation and eye donation

     What are the legal and ethical implications of organ donation?

     What does the Transplantation of Human Organs Act of 1994 say about organ donation?

     Role of MOHAN Foundation in organ donation?

     Importance of Donor card and helpline number

     Information regarding MOHAN Foundation activities.The following queries were asked by visitors

    1) Upto how many days, relatives can see the donated body after doing whole body donation in theanatomy dept.?

    2) What is the success rate for organ donation in India?

    Total 31 members were present 6 of them signed the organ donation pledge form. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mrs. Kalpana Sonule for supporting the Noble cause.
