Dr. Sherman Gomes, the proprietor of PRESERVE—Dental, Hair Transplant, and Facial Aesthetics Centre—organized the Blood Donation Camp at PRESERVE, opp. HDFC Bank, Duncolim, Seraulim, Goa, on June 23, 2024, in collaboration with Kalji, Caring Souls Goa, and Goa Medical College Blood Bank.
The camp ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Around 34 people came forward to donate blood, but only 28 were fit to do so. Most of the people had donated previously, but a couple were first-timers.
Gabriel Pereira, MOHAN Foundation Ambassador, gave organ donation FAQs to the camp visitors. He distributed the FAQs to nearly 35 individuals, and engaged the donors in a conversation about organ donation and the importance of making a pledge. One person informed Mr. Gabriel that he had already pledged to get the donor card when he visited the Foundation’s website.
