On January 25, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, an Organ Donation Ambassador from the MOHAN Foundation, set up an Organ Donation Information Desk at a Blood Donation Camp. The event was organized by Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley High School, the Rotary Club of Bardez Coastal, and Caring Souls, in collaboration with the Goa Medical College Blood Bank. The camp was held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The camp drew approximately 95 participants, of whom 65 were eligible to donate blood. Parents of students also came forward to support the school’s initiative. The Rotary Club of Bardez Coastal, led by President Mr. Ifran Zaki, provided valuable support to the event.
At the information desk, Gabriel Pereira distributed around 100 brochures addressing frequently asked questions about organ donation. He also engaged in meaningful conversations with attendees, highlighting the importance of organ donation. These efforts resulted in two individuals pledging to donate their organs, marking a notable achievement in raising awareness.
Dr. Selena D'Souza, Headmistress of Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley High School, expressed her gratitude to Caring Souls Goa, the Rotary Club of Bardez Coastal, the Goa Medical College Blood Bank, and the MOHAN Foundation for their contributions, which were instrumental in making the camp a success.
