Organ Donation Camp at Mannurpet, Ambathur

  • Om Sri Thathvamasi Trust and SRM Charitable Trust organized a Medical Camp which also included an  Organ Donation Camp on 29.03.2015. Mr. Ravindran, President, Om Sri Thathvamasi Trust invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct the camp. The camp was organized at Mannurpet, Ambathur.

     

    Ms. Kavitha, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation was deputed to conduct the camp.  She explained the concept on Organ Donation by one to one interaction. She discussed the following topics:

    • Importance and need of organ donation
    • Types of donations – live and deceased donation
    • Difference between Natural Death, Coma and Brain Death
    • Organs and tissues that can be donated in cardiac death and brain death
    • Eye donation
    • Importance of Donor card and helpline number


    Nearly 20 people pledged for Organ Donation.
