On 4th January 2022, MOHAN Foundation and The Cause Travellers visited Golden Butterflies Children’s Palliative Care Foundation, a NGO in Purasaiwalkam, Chennai. Mr. and Mrs. Chillana, Ms. Ishwarya and Mr. Ganesh of MOHAN Foundation met with Ms. Stella Matthew, Managing Trustee of Golden Butterflies, the other staff and interns of the organisation.
Mr. Ganesh C explained the key concepts of organ donation and transplantation. He elaborately spoke about brain death and shared some statistics related to donation rates. Mr. Chillana spoke about the mission of The Cause Travellers and why everyone should be aware of and support the cause. Mrs. Namrata spoke about broadening our thoughts, looking at the bigger picture and consider pledging our organs.
Around 12 people were present during the occasion and 7 of them who had not pledged so far, signed up as organ donors. Ms. Ramalakshmi, Project Manager & Counsellor thanked the guest speakers.
