On August 24th 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Anju Anil Mantri - Secretary of Marwadi Mahila Samiti, Nagpur to conduct an awareness program for its members on the occasion of their get-together.
More than 100 members were present to listen to the talk that was delivered by Dr. Ravi Wankhede Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, who was accompanied by Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator from the Foundation. Information brochures were distributed to all those present before the talk began.
Dr. Wankhede began his session with a video tribute to all organ donors and a speech by the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi on organ donation. He then briefly explained the concepts of organ donation and transplantation. Information about body donation and eye donation was also given to the audience. During the session a role play on kidney donation, skin donation, heart donation and body donation was acted out as well.
Dr. Wankhede also requested the participants to use the toll-free helpline number and MOHAN Foundation’s website to learn more about the subject.

At the end of the programme 10 members registered themselves as organ donors and collected their donor cards. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Smt. Anju Anil Mantri for giving this opportunity.
