Organ Donation Awareness during a Personality Development Session

  • On 22nd August 2020, MOHAN Foundation addressed the participants of an online personality development workshop on the topic of organ donation. The workshop was organized by Mr. Thomas John Rose, Motivational/Inspirational Public Speaker and Counselor, and Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation interacted with the participants.

    Information related to the following topics was given:

    • Types of deaths
    • Organs that can be donated after Brain Death, after Natural Death and while living
    • Where is waitlist of organ failure patients available and how to register in it
    • Who can donate organs and
    • MOHAN Foundation’s activities
    • Helpline number and MOHAN Foundation’s website
    • How would MOHAN Foundation get to know of someone’s death?
    • The Organ Transplantation Act 1994
    • Importance of Donor card

    It was very interactive session and the entire group of around 97 participants was motivated to support organ donation. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Mr. Thomas John for the opportunity.
