The Lions Club of Sholinghur, organizes health camps to ensure the betterment of people in and around Sholinghur on a regular basis. On January 21, 2024, they organized an Ophthalmology camp in tie up with Sankara Eye Hospital Coimbatore, at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sholinghur. This camp aimed to screen the people for ailments of the eye and support them with free cataract surgeries. On this occasion, MOHAN Foundation was given an opportunity to create awareness on Organ Donation.
The team of Ms. Arshiya and Mr. Ganesh created awareness by setting up an information desk. They distributed information brochures to the crowd. They also created awareness on organ donation by addressing the gathering. Ln Baskaran, District Governor Lions Club; Ln Sivaprakasam, President; Ln Vijayakumar, Secretary, Ln Saravanan; Treasurer along with other Lions Club members visited the information desk and extended their support towards Organ Donation.
Over 97 people collected the information brochures and 12 pledged and picked up the donor cards. MOHAN Foundation extends its warm gratitude towards, Ln Sivaprakasam, and Ln Vijayakumar for their support and hospitality in organizing the event.
