To commemorate the 70th birthday of Chief Minister, Thiru M K Stalin, the Lion’s Club Sholinghur and DMK Sholinghur, organized a multi-speciality health camp at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sholinghur on March 12, 2023. The camp consisted of 4 components, General Screening, Ophthalmology, Organ Donation Information Desk and Bedwetting Helpdesk.
The camp was held from 08.00 – 14.00 hrs benefitting around 350 members in the rural communities. A team of Mr. Ganesh, Marketing Coordinator and Ms. Yamini, Executive, organized an information helpdesk the camp. With the support of Mr Gopi M, Lion’s Club Sholinghur (LCS) – President, Mr Thirumal, LCS – Secretary and Mr Salim, LCS -Treasurer the awareness was done effectively through a Public meeting, Individual meetings, Information pamphlet distribution and through Information desk.
Mr Vinod Gandhi, State Deputy Secretary- DMK Environment Wing and Mr Ashokan A, Chairman, DMK Sholinghur came as Chief guest and extended their support towards Organ Donation and Transplantation. Mr Ashokan A, extended his support further by inviting MOHAN Foundation to organize awareness session in his educational institution. Mr Mohanraj, Inspector of Police, Sholinghur received few of our information pamphlets and is looking forward for an awareness event to his co-workers at his station.
Over 200 information pamphlets were distributed and 14 pledged as organ donors and picked up donor cards. MOHAN Foundation, once again extends its gratitude towards Mr. Gopi for making this event possible and into a great success, and to DMK Youth wing and IT Wing young volunteers for the support and hospitality through the event.
