Organ Donation Awareness Talk at Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai

  • An informative session on organ donation was conducted at Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies, Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai. On January 24, 2025, Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counselor from MOHAN Foundation, delivered a comprehensive presentation to enlighten approximately 73 students on the vital aspects of organ donation.

    The session commenced with an insightful introduction to MOHAN Foundation, followed by a detailed exploration of the basics of organ donation, the different types of donors, and the importance of eye donation. Ms. Prarthana also delved into the critical topics of circulatory death and brain stem death, providing the audience with a thorough understanding of these concepts.

    The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation, with many attendees approaching the resource person with thoughtful follow-up questions. Notably, one participant raised an intriguing query about the time window within which organs must be retrieved and transplanted.
