  • An engaging and informative session on organ donation was conducted at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School in Ulwe, Mumbai. On July 01, 2024, Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counsellor from MOHAN Foundation, delivered a comprehensive presentation to enlighten approximately 23 staff members on the vital aspects of organ donation.

The session commenced with an insightful introduction to MOHAN Foundation, followed by a detailed exploration of the basics of organ donation, different types of donors, and the importance of eye donation. Ms. Prarthana also delved into the critical topics of circulatory death and brain stem death, providing a thorough understanding to the audience.

The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation, with many attendees approaching the resource persons with thoughtful follow-up questions. Notably, one participant raised an intriguing query about the time window within which organs must be retrieved and transplanted.

Looking back, this experience was deeply enriching for both the presenters and the participants alike. We are genuinely appreciative of the opportunity to engage with such a dedicated and enthusiastic community at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School.
