On 29th September, 2013 a 4 K awareness run on organ donation was organized at Elliot’s Beach, Chennai by iNautix Technologies Private Limited, Taramani, Chennai - a BNY Mellon Company that provides offshore development services. The run was supported by Cadaver Transplant Programme (CTP), Chennai and MOHAN Foundation, Chennai.
The employees of Inautix, representatives of MOHAN Foundation and students from Avaai Home, Adyar, Chennai participated in the run. Avvai Home, is a non-profit organization established in 1930 by late Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy to shelter, protect and educate the orphan girls as well as deserted women irrespective of caste, creed or social status. It is supported by American Association for the Social Advancement of India (AASAI), a non-profit organization involved in helping the poor and under-privileged in India. iNautix Techonologies supports Avvai Home as one of their Corporate Social Responsibility projects'. Members of Tamilnadu Roller Skating Association (TNRSA) who were practicing at the beach also joined the event by skating alongside the runners to support the cause of organ donation. Mr. Suresh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, iNautix Technologies, Chennai flagged off the run.
Nearly 90 people participated in the run. At the end around 80 participants picked up the donor card to pledge their organs.
