Ideas Infinity Consultancy a HR solution company in Arumbakkam, Chennai accepted the request of Ambassador Vijay to conduct a talk on organ donation. This was conducted on 27th of December 2024. The audience were 12 staff of the company. Information brochures and green ribbons were distributed to the staff.
Organ Donation Ambassador Mr Vijay and Dr Hemal Kanvinde were the resource persons. Dr. Hemal gave an introduction about the work of MOHAN Foundation and a motivational video was played.
Mr Vijay started his presentation with what is organ donation, what are the types of organ donation, difference between brain death coma and circulatory death. Next he narrated stories of organ donors and recipients with an interactive session based on Hitendran’s donation with relation to movie of “Chennaiyil oru Naal”. Later the myths about organ donation were discussed. The session concluded with an introduction as to how to pledge as an organ donor.
Audience ask few questions:
1) How we register as an organ donor?
2) Can we donate organ to our friends as a living donor?
3) What were the scams and frauds regarding organ donation?
4) What are government hospitals are doing organ transplantation?
Overall the session was fun-filled and interactive session. The staff was invested in learning about organ donation. Dr Hemal also explained the website and ways to engage with MOHAN Foundation. 10 staff members picked a donor card.
