One week face-to-face Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, Chennai

Updated on Wednesday, February 2, 2022
  • We are happy to announce that the one-week, face-to-face “Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” will be conducted from March 21 to 25, 2022 at MOHAN Foundation, Chennai.

The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counselling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators across the country.

In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted several training programmes in the country and trained 2796 transplant coordinators between 2009 and 2021.
