One day organ donation awareness cum seminar at RNT Medical College, Jodhpur, Rajasthan

  • A one day organ donation awareness cum seminar was organized by Eternal Heart Care Centre Hospital with the help of Mohan Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum- Navjeevan team at Center Hospital RNT, Udaipur, Rajasthanon 19th August 2018.

    Dr. DP Singh, Principal, RNT Medical College attended the program as chief guest where Mr. Amitabh Gupta, CFO, Hindustan Zinc was the guest of honour.

    Ms. Hemlata Shah and Dr. Hivani Sharmarepresented the MFJCF team. During address to the present people, Ms.Hemlata said that with the relentless efforts of the organization 29 people has donated the organ after declaring brain dead and through  110 people got new life.


    She also told that with the efforts of MFJCF the Rajasthan Government has agreed to print the message of “organ donor” on driving license if license owner has chooses to do so. She also told the gathering that MFJCF is organizing awareness program in all the panchayats of Jaipur. Presently, the talks are being held at Bassi Panchayat.

    Mr. Amitabh Gupta, the respected Guest of Honour of the program also expressed his gratitude to the Mohan Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum Group for their efforts towards organ donation.


    After the speech of Ms. Hemlata Shah,Dr. Manish Sharma, nodal officer of Rajasthan Network for Organ Sharing addressed people and told that people refuse for opting for organ donation due to social stigma and misconceptions. Thus more awareness is needed.

    Dr. Ajit Bana, Head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Eternal Hospital, Jaipur, told about donor management and optimization. He also told that how a brain dead person can give life to eight people.
