On 22nd December 2015, the National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of VHS Higher Secondary School invited MOHAN Foundation to address their students during their 10 day camp conducted at Model Government High School, Thycadu. The XII standard students were present to learn about organ donation. This programme was referred by KNOS.
The programme began with a welcome address by a student. Mrs. Kavitha Aneesh spoke about the Concepts of Organ Donation. The following topics were covered during the talk:
The students were divided into seven groups to do home visit and sensitize the families living at Thycadu. So after the session there was small discussion and a quiz to understand the level of their knowledge. Many questions were raised and clarified. Nearly 20 students and a teacher attended the session, all promised to sign the donor card when they are 18.
