On 19th August 2014, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr.Sukhdava NSS Program Office of Mokhere College, Nagpur to give a talk about Deceased Organ Donation.
Mr. Bulu Behera Organ Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur Centre conducted that talk. He explained the concepts of Organ Donation; Brain Death and Organ Transplantation. He highlighted which organs and tissues can be donated after brain death, natural death, and live donation. He explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back to life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate organs, then they can help several people.
After the talk he gave information about MOHAN Foundation activities as well as helpline number. Thereafter he requested the audience to use MOHAN Foundation website and toll free number to clarify any doubts. 150 students participated & 20 students signed the pledge form.
