Ms. Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director, MOHAN Foundation (Delhi-NCR) was invited as faculty at 3rd Annual Conference of Society of Neurocritical Care (SNCC 2020 India) – Virtual which was held from November 27 - 29, 2020. The conference was organized by the Department of Neuroanesthesiology & Critical Care, Medanta - the Medicity, Gurgaon, in association with the Society of Neurocritical Care- India (SNCC-India).
The 3rd Annual Conference of the SNCC - 2020, targeted neurointensivists, neurophysicians, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, nursing staff and allied specialities involved in the care of neurologically injured patients, from across the world, on a virtual platform, to discuss key issues in neurocritical care.
Ms. Pallavi Kumar was a panelist for the discussion on “Brain Death Determination - “Is India heading from the current post code lottery towards a universal coverage?”. The discussion was moderated by Dr Kapil Zirpe (Head of the Department of Neurocritical Care at the Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune and Past-President of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine) and other panelists included eminent critical care doctors and lawyers such Dr R K Mani, Dr Reshma Tewari. Dr Tariq Ali, Dr Sridhar Nagaiyan and Mr M Bajpai.
A workshop on Organ Donation within the conference was also organized for the participants. Ms. Pallavi Kumar spoke on the subject “Allotment of Organ”. Declaration of Brain Death, Apnea test challenges, Consent, Green Corridor were also discussed during the workshop.
