On December 20, 2021, Ms. Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director, MOHAN Foundation, Delhi- NCR was invited to speak at an event organized by ‘Mission Healing Hearts’, Institute of Heart, Lung Disease & Research Centre (IHLDRC), New Delhi for the members of IHLDRC and post heart surgical patients. The event was also a post heart surgical patient rehab gathering. The agenda for the event was to provide annual health checkup and counselling for more than 200 post heart surgical patients who were supported by IHLDRC for their complex heart surgeries and to have a discussion on how to increase public awareness on organ donation in north India. The event was coordinated by Mr. Manab Mishra, Project Head, ‘Mission Healing Hearts’ IHLDRC.
‘Mission Healing Hearts’, Institute of Heart, Lung Disease & Research Centre (IHLDRC) was founded by Dr. Rahul Chandola, Heart and Lung Transplant Surgeon, Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi. IHLDRC is a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary, professional organization dedicated to provide financial support to the underprivileged patients in complex heart & lung transplants, improving the care of patients with advanced heart or lung disease through medical support and innovative therapies via research, education and advocacy.
The chief guests of the event were Smt. Mangla Mataji and Shri. Bhole Maharaj. Founders of The Hanslok Foundation. They Foundation has been supporting these heart surgeries for poor patients performed by Dr. Chandola and his team.
Close to 100 participants attended the event.
