On the occasion of Independence Day, 15 August 2015 the Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur, and Principal Dr. John Menachery invited MOHAN Foundation to talk about Deceased Organ Donation.
Dr. Keshav Walke, Dr. Naveen Chandran, Dr. Jyoti Niswade,Dr. Vaishali Bezalwar, Mrs. Jyoti Modgare, Miss. Nandita Mane and Mrs. Rashmi Baulker were present during the talk. MOHAN Foundation also set up an Organ Donation awareness Stall which was manned by Mr. Bulu Behera & Ms. Kanchan Shewde Transplant coordinators MOHAN Foundation.
Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director of MOHAN Foundation, spoke on Organ Donation to the students and the lecturers. Dr. Ravi Wankhede spoke on types of Organ donation, types of death and understanding of brain death, natural death, process of Eye donation as well as Body donation. He highlighted the famous person who have pledged for donation and gave real life examples to exp;lain the process of donation.
He explained the other activities of MOHAN Foundation and requested the audience to visit MOHAN Foundation website.
In the program 120 students and staff were present , 45 participants signed the consent form. Dr. Keshav Walke thanked Dr. Ravi Wankhede for his lucid talk.
