The 79th Annual Session of Indian Roads Congress was held in Nagpur from 22nd – 25th November 2018. Indian Roads Congress (IRC) is one of the leading technical bodies of Highway Engineers in the country. MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Vivek Mishra, the Technical Exhibition In-charge to set up an awareness stall on all 4 days of the session. The Divisional Sports Complex Stadium, Mankapur Road, Nagpur was the venue and Mr. Bulu Behera was the resource person from MOHAN Foundation.
The stall was equipped with information brochures, donor cards, banners, etc. Photographs of organs modeled using human ashes from an award-winning exhibit ‘Life Before Ashes’ were also on display to emphasize the message of organ donation. The stall visitors were able to obtain information on the following points:
Across the 4 days, the stall received close to 180 visitors and more than 30 people pledged their organs. The visitors found the stall to be informative and had the following questions:
Mr Bulu was able to answer all these questions and make sure that the takeaway for the crowd was right information about organ donation. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to IRC and Mr. Vivek for the opportunity.
