On 21st January 2024, MOHAN Foundation was invited to set up an information desk and organ donation awareness talk during the Cricket Tournament for 40+ at Karjat, Raigad.Mr Prakash Wadkar of Apollo Hospital was an in charge of the event. He invited MOHAN Foundationto set up an information desk for the noble cause. A stage was set up for the cricket commentary, distinguished guests and the Trophies were displayed. The cricket tournament was named as Organ Donate Cup 2024. Loud speakers and sound system was in place. They were announcing about the organ donation information desk set up during the commentary. Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, Public Education Counsellor of MOHAN Foundation was invited to the stage to talk and motivate the peopleabout organ donation. She explained about the Organ and Tissue donation, types of organ donation and its misconceptions to the people,who came to the Tournament. At the information desk she solved all queries of each visitor. All the visitors who came to the stall responded positively and were ready to pledged their organs. She distributed the organ donor card and brochures.Around 166 participants attended the session and 40 filled the pledge form. They showed interest to create awareness about organ donation and its importance to other people. Around 7pm prize distribution ceremony took place and Ms Prarthana received a memento, as a mark of appreciation.
