

To celebrate the Joy of Giving (3-7 October 2016), Hexaware Technologies, SIPCOT, Kancheepuram decided to promote the concept of organ donation in their offices pan India. The other areas promoted by the company were eye donation and SOS village.
On the first day, 3rd October 2016 MOHAN Foundation set an information desk near the cafeteria area with the help of banner, information brochures, donor cards and registration forms. There was a session for volunteers planned.
Nearly 65 staff came to the stall and 37 pledged to donate their organs. The queries by the staff were the validity of the donor card, organ allocation systems, clarification on brain death, what organs and tissues can be donated and how does MOHAN Foundation help in donation of organs.
All queries were answered. The information desk shall be manned by volunteers for the next 4 days. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. S. Logabhiraman, senior CSR officer for promoting organ donation in his office.
