MOHAN Foundation Delhi-NCR team participated in the Collaborative Conclave for Organ Donation organised by ORGAN India on December 01, 2016 at the India International Center in Delhi. The conclave saw NGOs working in the field of organ donation come together for the first time on one platform to set collaborative goals, share material, discuss challenges and set the tone for collectively reaching out to millions of people in India.
Dr. (Prof.) Jagdish Prasad, Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India inaugurated the Conclave hosted by ORGAN India in association with NOTTO. Ms. Anika Parashar (Co-Founder, ORGAN India and Trustee, Parashar Foundation) & Ms. Sunayana Singh (Co-Founder & CEO, ORGAN India) and Dr. Vimal Bhandari (Director, NOTTO) were present at the Conclave along with all the NGOs. Over 14 NGOs from all across India including Assam, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, & Gujarat attended the conclave. Apart from ORGAN and MOHAN Foundation, the other NGOs present were - Dadhichi Deh Daan Samiti and Rotary Club from Delhi, Shatayu and Donate Life from Gujarat, NDTN (National Deceased Donor Transplantation Network), Narmada Kidney Foundation, Apex Kidney Foundation, Karunya Trust and A Million Pledges from Maharashtra, MOTHER (Multi Organ Transplantation and Human & Educational Research) from Orissa, Shine India Foundation from Rajasthan and Zublee Foundation from Assam.
The aim of the conclave was to set a common agenda between all the NGOs towards promoting the cause of organ donation by having a collaborative approach under the aegis of NOTTO. There objectives of the conclave were to discuss the following objectives in groups:

This conclave also provided a platform to the NGOs for putting up their concerns and difficulties that they are facing in their respective states directly in front of the national body, NOTTO. Dr. Vimal Bhandari ensured all the support that the government could give, either directly or through setting up of SOTTOs. He added that the same couldn't be done without the cooperation from the crusaders in this field i.e. the NGOs.
