On 9th November 2013, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms.Vaidehi, Teacher, Government High School, Vengalrao Nagar, Hyderabad to conduct an awareness talk on Organ Donation to their school children.
Around 120 school children between 7th and 9th standard attended the session with their class teachers.
Dr.Bhanu Chandra, MOHAN Foundation spoke on the importance of Blood Donation, Eye Donation, and Organ Donation.
The entire session took two hours and the children raised many questions on Functions of Organs, Brain Death, Coma, Organ Retrieval and preservation procedures.
At the end of the session Ms.Vaidehi said that it was a valuable and informative talk that gave a complete picture on the importance of Organ Donation.
Donor cards and information brochures were handed over to the staff.
