On 9th September 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted a golf tournament to promote organ donation at Madras Gymkhana Club,Golf Annexe, Guindy. Chennai. This event was one of its kind and was called a “Drive to save lives”. Several dignitaries including Movie director Mani Ratnam, Cricketer Murali Vijay played golf and supported organ donation.
72 golfers participated in the Drive to Save Lives campaign. The DJS Events conducted the event and Mr Jayanan was at helm of organizing the tournament.

Karun Nanda- Heart Recipient,Amit Prasada-liver Recipient, Anil Srivatsa- Living kidney donor played golf. In addition, Jaya Jairam a kidney recipient & B Sudhakar a dual lung recipient attended the program
Dr Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee MOHAN Foundation, welcomed the golfers to the prize distribution ceremony. Ms Jaya Jairam introduced the work of MOHAN Foundation, Mr Jayanan announced the winners and the organ recipients gave away the prizes.
The winning team of Mr D Vasu and Mr Murali Vijay took the rolling trophy. The organ recipient team of Karun Nanda & Amit Prasad played the 18 hole & received the first runner up trophy. The 2nd Runners Up were Mr Anish Iyer and Mr Radhakrishnan Iyer. Fun prizes of Longest drive was taken by Mr Anish Iyer and Closest to the pin went to Ms Premalatha R. There were a few lucky draw prizes as well. A Callaway Golf bag was won by kidney donor Mr Anil Srivatsa and immediately auctioned at the venue
The event was supported by NAC Jewellers, Gleneagles Global Health City, Kauvery Hospitals and Tanker Foundation & others. In addition a few players spontaneously donated funds to the cause.
All the golfers appreciated the work done by MOHAN Foundation. Six golfers registered as organ donors. MOHAN Foundation thanks Madras Gymkhana Club, DJS Events, all the sponsors, the golfers and the donors and recipients for their support to this unique event.
