MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Srinivasulu, In-charge, Traffic Training Institute to conduct an awareness session on organ donation during drunken driving counseling sessions on June 01, 2015.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation gave an exclusive presentation about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
There were about 60 participants that were present for the counseling sessions and were explained on advantages of deceased organ donation, requirement and availability of organs for ill patients and legal aspects involved in organ donation.
We thank the Mr. Srinivasulu, In-charge, Traffic Training Institute for facilitating this session on organ donation and make it a regular event.
We also thank all the participants for their active participation and hope that this event has enlightened them.
