On 8th January 2023, MOHAN Foundation conducted an online organ donation awareness webinar on zoom platform for Inner wheel club and Dr RP Nath Group of Aurangabad. This session was organized by Dr Ina Nath forthe members of Inner wheel club and Dr R P Nath Group.Ms. Prarthana began session with introducing MOHAN Foundation and itsactivities. 86 members participated in the session.
She then explained the below topics about organ donation.
1. What is organ donation and its types?
2. Importance of organ donation in India
3. Concept of Brain death Difference between solid organs and tissues
4. The role of transplant coordinators in hospitals
5.Role of ZTCC was explained to the audience Myths and facts about organ donation were discussed.
6.Statistics about organ donation in different countries was displayed andexplained
7. MOHAN Foundation helpline number was displayed to the audience.
The session was very interesting and interactive. Members actively participated in the event. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms.Prarthana for organizing a meaningful and valuable session, which touched their hearts and motivated all members to pledge their organs.Questions asked by the audience were as follows- What is the role of ZTCC in Organ Donation? Can blind people donate their cornea? Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi answered all the queries.
