On January 7, 2024, a highly informative and interesting session on the importance of Organ Donation Awareness was held in Lodge Vasundhara No. 475, Freemason’s Hall, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The programme started with the Freemason prayer & President Tushar Gargwelcomed the guest speakers, Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Dir. MF & Mr. Devang Chhaya, MFAmbassador. Dr. Ravi Wankhede shared his own experience of Kidney donation to his childhood friend Mr. Chimthanwala at the age of 60 years. This unrelated Hindu donor & Muslim recipientcase had received limelight in media as the result, President of India, Pratibhatai Patil felicitated the family at Rashtrapati Bhavan.Mr. Dewang Chaya explained the current scenario of Organ donation in India, & answered the queries raised by audience.Ms. Veena Wathore, MF Project Manager, setup the information desk & distributed Organ Pledge forms & Pamphlets among the members. The Iyer family Jaikumar, Kavitha their daughter Dhanashree Iyer took pledge for Organ donation. The programme was successfully coordinated and anchored by Mr. Kapil Bahri.
