  • MOHAN Foundation was invited to participate in the sixth Trilogy Camp on Blood, Eye, and Organ Donation, held at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, on January 1, 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur (AVBD), and the Personality and Talent Development Organization. Representing MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Laishram Monica Devi, Programme Officer, set up an information and pledge counter at the venue.

Mr. Kumarjit Singh, Treasurer of AVBD, coordinated the camp and highlighted the significance of starting the year with acts of generosity. The Manipur State Eye Bank (MSEB) also participated by setting up a counter for eye donation pledges.

Throughout the camp, the MOHAN Foundation team shared valuable insights on organ and eye donation. They explained key concepts such as the waiting list registry in India, the different types of organ donation, and the medical definition of brain death. The team also emphasized the critical role of family consent in the donation process. Ms. Monica actively engaged with participants, addressing their questions and distributing pamphlets featuring Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about organ donation.

Approximately 25 participants visited the pledge counter, where they received comprehensive information about organ and eye donation. Among them, nine individuals pledged to donate their eyes and organs through the MOHAN Foundation website and the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO).
