On 2nd June 2019, the Sindhi Welfare Society of Jaipur honored and awarded Mr. Govind Gurbani, a member of the MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum (MFJCF) for his contribution towards promotion of organ donation in Rajasthan. The event saw around 1200 people in attendance.
Mr. Gurbani also delivered a speech on the importance of organ donation during the event and appealed to the community to join hands with MFJCF to promote the cause of organ donation in Rajasthan. He also explained how a brain dead person can save the lives of up to eight people by donating his or her organs and tissues. He talked about tissue donation after cardiac death as well in his lecture.
