On 22nd January 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Sri. Srinivasa Rao, Owner, Amulya Furnitures, in remembrance of his father Late. Sri. Laxmi Narasimha Rao. Blood donation and organ donation awareness camp was organized in association with Vasavi Club Vijayawada.
Ms. Shanti explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation.
There were about 100 participants that participated and were distributed donor cards and information brochures. The participants reacted positively to the idea and have promised to spread awareness about organ donation in community.
We thank Sri. Srinivasa Rao of Amulya Furnitures for his kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank the participants for their support to this noble cause.
