On 4th January 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the commandant, Col. Manoj Kumar Sharma, 2BN NCC Chandigarh, to conduct an awareness session for their N.C.C. Cadets and J.C.Os at NCC Academy, Ropar. The group of Cadets was from Chandigarh Colleges. The Cadets were very much aware of Organ Donation. Around 700 Cadets & 20 J.C.Os participated in the program.
Cadets & J.C.Os were given an introduction and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Ms. Deepika Arora & Mr. Sudhir Dewan.
In this talk explained the concepts of Organ Donation, Brain Death, types of donors, myths and misconceptions on organ donation, MOHAN Foundation mission & vision, Importance of Donor card, how one person can save many lives were covered in detail.
It was indeed an amazing session. All the Cadets, J.C.Os & Commandant in the session expressed their support for the noble cause.
At the end of the presentation, Mr Dewan requested the cadets that we all should pledge our organs and talk to the family, friends and teachers about this noble cause.
