On, 22nd May, 2015 MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session for the students of GMSSSS-44 Chandigarh; under the Student Awareness Campaign in which all the government school of Chandigarh will be covered. The awareness session was conducted for the students of 12th standard. In which around 100 students participated. The principal and Mrs Anjali helped in conducting the session. Some of the teachers also attended the session and expressed their wish to conduct similar session in future also.
The students were given a presentation on Organ donation, Skin donation, importance of cadaveric organ donation and the phenomenon of brain death by the program Coordinator Nilakshi. It was an interactive session and all the students participated very actively in the session. The teachers also participated in the session. Mr. Satnam Singh who is the Physical education teacher had a thorough knowledge on the cause.
The students were shown donor cards and the information brochures were given to them.
