MFJCF launches the Gram Panchayat Project for Organ Donation Awareness

  • With great support from Mr. Rohit Kumar Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department (Rajasthan), MFJCF kicked off its Gram Panchayat Project aiming to create awareness about organ donation in the rural areas. Between 3rd and 5th of March 2021, a total of six village panchayats were covered.

     

    On 3rd March 2021, awareness programmes were conducted in 2 panchayats in Amer area of Jaipur. 45 people attended the programme in Achrol village and 35 were present in the Chhaparadi event. In the latter event, family members of an organ donor Mr. Naveen Meena, were also present to support the cause.

     

    40 villagers were present in the event in Doulatpura and the programme in Bhagwada saw 45 people in attendance on the 4th of March. On 5th March, 30 people attended the programme in Ghatwada village. On the other hand, close to 90 people, including students of the local senior secondary school were present at the event in Baluchi village on the same day.

     

    Mr. R A Sharma and Ms. Aditi Rohatgi, members of MFJCF used presentation and short movies to explain the concepts of organ donation and transplantation. The audience in the panchayats were keen to know more about the subject and had a lot of questions.
