In an early celebration of National Independence day, MOHAN Foundation in association with Kamal Hasan fans club conducted a blood donation drive and organ donation drive on 6th August 2017 at St. Thomas Blood Bank Chennai. The Kamal Hasan Welfare Association had earlier attended an awareness program in October 2016 in MOHAN Foundation office with 76 members pledging for donor card, to continue the good social service the association planned for organ donation and blood donation drive for its members. Mr. Ruban Victor represented MOHAN Foundation.
The program began with the association member giving the welcome speech and followed by the blood donation drive. Around 25 members of the association came forward to donate their blood. The donated blood, will be used for the various therapeutic purposes. During the drive members Mr. Ruban spoke about organ donation and the blood donors also pledged the donor card to show their support for organ donation.
