  • On August 28, 2024 MOHAN Foundation set up an information desk on organ donation at Villivakam Bus Terminus in Chennai. Ms. Arshiya Fathima, (Helpline Counsellor) and Mr. Bharath Sri. K, (an intern from the Madras School of Social Work) organized the desk and distributed information brochures to people at the bus terminus and nearby shops. The presence of this information desk was announced in the public speaker at the terminus.

Travelers waiting at the terminus were very supportive in creating awareness on organ donation and asked their questions openly. This initial response was encouraging, suggesting that the public is open to exploring this important topic.

Some of the questions received included:

    1. Who is important to give consent for organ donation?

    2. At what  age is  eye donation possible?

    3. How can I support this cause?

Around 55 brochures were distributed. MOHAN Foundation extends

its gratitude to the Metropolitan Transport Corporation and the officials at Villivakam

Bus Terminus for their support in setting up the information desk.
