VIDHAI Foundation in a non-profit organization with the vision of “STOP CANCER BEFORE IT STARTS”, is educating people about platelet donation and organ donation through awareness camps, programs and talks. VIDHAI Foundation provides monetary, medical and other assistance and encouragement to the needy, deserving and financially challenged children affected by cancer, both survivors and those still fighting, in order to enable them to reach their full potential and lead a life of happiness and accomplishment.
On October 30, 2022, Vidhai Foundation organized a blood donation camp in tie-up with Institute of Child Health (ICH), Egmore, Chennai. MOHAN Foundation was given an opportunity to put an information desk at the blood donation camp. The venue was the Auditorium in ICH where the blood donors were asked to wait. Mr. Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, organized an information desk and made sure all those who waited their turn to donate blood got educated on organ donation, brain death, transplantation, usage of helpline number 18000 103 7100 and safeguarding themselves from scams. Some questions raised by the people were about living donor safety, which organs are donated and voluntary body donation.
Over 80 youngsters and doctors donated blood, 32 members signed up to support organ donation and 9 registered as donor on the spot at MOHAN Foundation website. A special thanks to Dr Rajeswari and Mr. Boovas of the foundation in mobilizing the community and for this wonderful opportunity to create awareness.
