On 8th November 2024, a National Conference Evidence Matters- Forensic Nursing Essential was held at Apollo College of Nursing, Vanagaram, with a wide range of informative sessions aimed at addressing critical health issues. MOHAN Foundation set up an information desk for attendees, including college students and conference participants, to engage with MOHAN Foundation to clear their doubts. The information desk was manned by Ms. Arshiya Fathima H (Helpline Counselor, MOHAN Foundation), Ms. Yamini M (Community Fromm MMM College of Allied Health Sciences). Information brochures, green ribbon, registration forms, donor cards and a standee were placed at the desk.
Around 150 students and other participants visited the stall and 20 students and staff registered as organ donors. Ms. Arshiya provided valuable information on how individuals can protect themselves from spam and explained courses offered by MOHAN Foundation to improve their career aspects - Transplant Coordinators Training Program. As well as the community engagement training as an Organ Donation Ambassador. MOHAN Foundations thanks the Management and staff of the college for this opportunity.
Impact and Engagement:
Many students actively participated at the information desk, seeking knowledge about the organ donation registration process and the available online courses. The desk also attracted students interested in understanding how they could contribute to organ donation and raise awareness in their communities.
