On November 29, 2022 MOHAN Foundation was given an opportunity to meet the visitors and staff at Taluk office at Ambattur. Ms. Arshiya Fathima H (Helpline Counselor) & Ms. Vedhika N, intern from MMM College of Health Science set up an information desk and manned it from 10 am to 1 pm. Green ribbons, information brochures, registration forms, donor cards and standee were kept at the information desk.
Information about organ donation was first shared with Tahsildar Mr. Mr. Rajasekar. Ms Arshiya explained the work of MOHAN Foundation and the usage of helpline number 180001037100. More than 25 people visited the information desk. They were given an explanation on organ donation, voluntary body donation, eye donation, brain death, how to register for a transplant. Information brochures were given to all visitors. Some questions raised by the people were:
About 7 people signed up to support organ donation and 3 registered as donor on the spot at MOHAN Foundation website. A special thanks to Mr. Rajasekar for this wonderful opportunity to create awareness.
