
Dr. Christopher Taylor Barry, Transplant Consultant to the Government of Rajasthan and MOHAN Foundation Advisory Board Member, met with representative Faculty, Staff and Residents of the Departments of Pathology and Immunology at Sawai Man Singh Hospital Medical College in Jaipur on 18th December 2014. He gave a lecture on the emerging Deceased Donor Transplant Program at SMS, emphasizing that cooperation with Pathology, Histology, Immunology and the Blood Bank are essential to the program’s success. Twenty professors, technicians and resident doctors attended. Dr. Barry will help establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Protocols that will allow timely and continuous reporting of vital patient information including biopsies, crossmatching and ABO verification for both deceased organ donors and potential transplant recipients.
