Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers (BANAI) Acknowledges Organ Donation Work on International Women's Day

  • On March 8, 2025, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the MOHAN Foundation was invited to honour its significant contributions towards promoting organ donation, also known as the ‘Gift of Life,’ which plays a crucial role in saving lives. This event was hosted by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers (BANAI) at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Conference Hall, Urvela Colony, Nagpur.

    The event was graced by several dignitaries. The President of BANAI, Mr. Arvind Gedam, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. The chief guest for the event was Professor Dr. Vimaltai Thorat, with Ms. Swati Shende, Dr. Puja Nakhale, Ms. Vaijanti Mandvadhar, and Dr. Saroj Vani serving as distinguished guests of honour. The event was expertly coordinated by Arct. Kalpana Meshram.

    During the ceremony, MOHAN Foundation’s Project Manager, Veena Wathore, was felicitated for her dedicated work in promoting organ donation at government hospitals, thereby helping to save many lives. In addition, the relatives of women body donors were also honoured by BANAI for their selfless contribution to the cause.

    This special recognition on International Women's Day highlighted the invaluable role of women in advancing the cause of organ donation and saving lives within society.
